description abstractSteel cable is the key component of prestressed steel structures. However, the thermal expansion coefficients of steel cables have not been adequately evaluated yet. This paper presents an experimental study on this topic. A total of 15 groups of specimens were tested, including steel-wire rope cable, steel strand cable, semiparallel steel tendon cable, and steel rod.
