description abstractThe Taiwanese population continues to grow despite a decreasing useable land area. Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, typhoons, and floods, can happen throughout the year. Such disasters often result in loss of life and property damage. Hazard mitigation and prevention research is extremely important. This paper describes the recovery plans and emergency grouting performed on Shih-Kang Dam after the 921 earthquake. This information can be used by engineers to improve the efficiency of crisis treatments using emergency grouting.
