description abstractComputers have been a useful engineering tool for several years. As computers have become more inexpensive and easier to use, engineers have increased their use of them. Associated with increased use of computers are a number of management problems. These problems are related to the relationships between individuals, individuals and machines, and organizations. These problems really relate to the management of work, rather than the technical performance of work. This paper describes some of the management problems that have been encountered, as well as ways to prevent such problems for other users. Management problems have been classified into primary and secondary types for the purpose of suggesting solutions. It is the intent of the paper to make future users of computer programs aware of the problems so that their particular applications may be successful.
