description abstract | Issues regarding the application of expert systems to construction management are discussed in this paper. Expert systems are viewed as powerful computer techniques that construction management can use in various ways to carry out its functions effectively and efficiently. Several possibilities of expert system applications, in construction management, are described. A critical review of capabilities and limitations of expert systems is also presented in the paper. Finally, an attempt to sketch the future trend of expert system development in construction is made. | |
