description abstractThis paper presents the results of an experimental investigation into usage of Fenton’s reagent (a mixture of ferrous salts and hydrogen peroxide) to remediate diesel-impacted soils. A number of process variables such as the presence of iron salts, comparison between ferrous and ferric salts, amount of diesel washed out and mineralized and the use of surfactant to augment the treatment were investigated. Additionally, studies were conducted to evaluate the in-situ injection technique for remediation of diesel-impacted soil using
