description abstractConstruction industry professionals are facing a new era of information technology marked by the proliferation of the readily available World Wide Web (WWW). This technology offers the opportunity to dramatically improve the communication between a company and its customer base. The accessibility of the Internet to various professionals in the construction industry presents a greatly enhanced environment for business promotion and marketing. This paper discusses the development of an effective WWW presence. It seeks to identify a construction company's objectives in having a WWW presence and to develop a list of information that a construction company could publish to achieve its business objectives.
