description abstractThis article presents a model developed to identify aspects of culture and climate to analyze their impact on the behavior of organizations through cognitive and emotional dimensions. The mixed methods design was adopted in this research to deepen the studies on the triad of organizational culture, organizational climate, and organizational behavior using the structure of the exploratory sequential project, which implies collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data in two sequential phases. From the results of the quantitative stage, the reference model was validated. Finally, a case study was carried out to measure the level of adherence to this model in a Brazilian construction company. As the main result, the model allowed organizational self-knowledge in search of corporate excellence. Today, a critical factor of success is to understand and manage culture and climate in the workplace, in view of the diversities and complexities of the relationship between capital and work, to anticipate, explain, and control organizational behavior.
