description abstractChina Railway Track System (CRTS) II slab ballastless track is a sandwich multilayer structure, and cement emulsified asphalt mortar (CAM), as the middle bonding layer between the track slab and concrete bottom slab, is a key engineering material for slab ballastless track. To improve the interfacial bonding behavior of CAM and reduce the debonding of CAM, the influence of the stabilizer on the properties of CAM was studied. The segregation, interfacial bonding strength, and microstructure morphology of CAM were tested. Moreover, a trial application was performed to determine the field performance of the stabilizer. Results showed that the incorporation of the stabilizer not only improved the homogeneity performance of CAM but also increased the interfacial bonding strength. The debonding rate and gap width of CAM with the stabilizer had sharply decreased on site. This work has demonstrated a new available strategy for reducing the debonding of CAM in CRTS II slab ballastless track.
