| description abstract | A description is given of how the surplus bandwidth of the standard radiosonde can be used for an additional high-quality telemetry channel. Bounds imposed on the channel by the existing radiosonde signal are discussed, as well as an FM/FM subcarrier system which fits into these bounds. Also given are detailed circuit diagrams of the voltage-controlled oscillator added to the radiosonde, and the phase-locked loop used in the ground station. | |
