description abstractReal-time downwind measurements of A41 from the CIRUS stack at Trombay have been made at one of the micrometeorological stations, using the differential beta-gamma counting method. Simultaneous measurements of the standard deviation of horizontal wind direction fluctuations have also been made. These measurements have made it possible to study the variation of concentration of argon-41 with sampling period as a function of atmospheric stability. A comparison has also been made of concentrations of A41 measured using the above method and computed with a knowledge of the standard deviation of horizontal wind direction fluctuations.
