description abstractOrganizations have been discovering that optimum leadership often requires new approaches. As a result, some firms have adopted a facilitative outlook in how they choose to lead their employees. In leading in a facilitative manner, information, experienced judgment and practical creativity are necessary for wise decision making. In addition, the leader needs to consider the collective perspectives of the group. Members, who have a stake, interest or insight, are important contributors to the decision, plan or solution. Finally, communication is an especially important attribute of the facilitative leader.
