description abstractThe 1973 hurricane season featured 95 ?tropical systems? of which 24 acquired the closed circulation of a depression. Atlantic ?seedlings? were responsible for the seven named storms in the Atlantic and seven of the twelve East Pacific storms. Fifty-six of the systems originated over Africa.
