description abstractCamera systems which measure a complete hemispherical field (?fisheye? lens systems), can be applied to the measurement of the radiance, but accurate radiometric and geometric calibrations are required to obtain absolute radiance data. The calibration procedure applied to an instrument built for spectral and geometrical radiance distribution measurements in the visible wavelength region (450?650 nm), based on an electro-optic fisheye camera system, is described and validated through comparison with a mere standard radiometer.
