description abstractThe collection equation is solved using a probabilistic collection kernel that includes the effects of overlapping turbulent eddies. The numerical results show that turbulence contributes to the collection process, and as the turbulence increase, so does the broadening of the drop spectrum. But even for very intense turbulence, the droplet growth rate remains fairly slow.
