description abstractMeasurements of fog drop size distribution, cloud condensation nuclei and fog condensation nuclei were made at several locations along the U.S. Pacific Coast. Wide variations in fog microstructure were associated with and appeared to be mostly due to variations in nucleus concentration. Simultaneous drop and nucleus measurements were used to determine the effective supersaturations (S) in fog which wore found to be .?0.10%.
