description abstractThe surface-based Atmospheric Emitted Radiance Interferometer (AERI) is an important measurement component of the Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Program. The method used to retrieve temperature and moisture profiles of the plantetary boundary layer from the AERI?s downwelling spectral radiance observations is described.
