description abstractThis note describes a semianalytical solution to a diffusion?deposition?resuspension model. Calculations of the fate of a point contaminant show that the model performs well in representing the individual effects of advection, deposition, and resuspension. Within uncertainties inherent to the model parameters, this model solution can be used for assessing the environmental impact of an initially localized source of contamination.
