| description abstract | The forward and the backward scattered wave fields from an energy dissipation region are investigated. Analytical solutions are obtained for two‐dimensional problems. Results can be used in estimating the reflection coefficient for a crib‐type breakwater. For three‐dimensional problems, numerical solutions are obtained using the parabolic approximations. It is shown that the numerical results agree very well with analytical solution for a special case of circular dissipation region. | |
