description abstractA new visual method that is calibration-free augmented reality based on affine representation is formulated for urban planning, and the problems in the process of algorithm application, such as the location of virtual objects and occlusion in the augmented reality, are analyzed. As an image-based method, in addition to saving more time, it also presents more realistic and objective results than traditional graphics-based virtual reality. The typical application examples in this paper show that augmented reality is a better means for visual assessment and has a broad prospect in this field.
