| description abstract | This note presents a method of reduction for the solution of the eigenproblem in structural dynamics using a modification of the dynamic condensation method. The proposed modification substantially reduces the number of numerical operations required in the application of the method and still provides accurate solutions for the higher modes of the system. This modification is presented after a brief discussion of the static condensation method and a review of the original dynamic condensation method. | |
