description abstractBasic climatological variables such as wind speed, ground snow and other environmental effects are needed to calculate structural design loads. The design loads are contingent on the selection of suitable probability distributions for these climatological variables. This note compares the probability plot correlation criteria as a tool for statistical analysis and testing of environmental data to other common methods as a tool for testing and analyzing environmental data.
