RISA QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF THE “BRIGHT BAND” IN RADAR PRECIPITATION ECHOES

Abstract: Observations and measurements of the bright band in radar echoes are presented. It is shown that the theory of coalescence and melting of snowflakes provides an adequate explanation of the phenomenon.
