| description abstract | This paper describes the application of a general computational procedure to predict four residual oil trials conducted at the International Flame Research Foundation. These trials were conducted in an attempt to isolate scaling criteria based on conventional similarity arguments. However, it is here demonstrated that, after a single preliminary calibration limited to one of the model constants, very acceptable and detailed predictions can be obtained using the present method for all of the trials. | |
