| description abstract | The possibility is investigated of using freon refrigerants and organic solvent systems in absorption refrigeration installations, utilizing low thermal-potential energy sources, for refrigeration and direct contact cooling to temperatures of or below 0°C. A detailed thermodynamic analysis by means of a simulation model of the cycle for several refrigerant-absorbent systems has delineated the operating range and dependence of the variations of the coefficient of performance and of the circulation ratio upon generator and condenser temperatures. The performance characteristics of freon - dibutyl phthalate and freon - dimethyl ether of tetraethylene glycol systems were compared. | |
