| description abstract | A systematic and rational method for designing drag-link driven cams for the purpose of modifying cam timing has been presented in this paper. In addition, two possible approaches for designing adjustable drag-link cam systems, namely uncompensated and compensated systems, have also been discussed. The performance comparisons for these linkages-cam systems are based upon pressure angle, cam size, input torque requirement, contact force and Fourier analysis of the follower acceleration. | |
