| description abstract | The effect of small cross flow and surface-temperature variation on laminar free-convection boundary-layer characteristics along a vertical plate is studied by means of a perturbation analysis. First-order deviations from the quasi-two-dimensional solution are derived. The associated universal functions are calculated for two Prandtl numbers of 0.72 and 1.0. Essential results are given in both graphical and tabulated forms. | |
