description abstractThe stability of multicomponent flow through porous media is investigated. The flow results from an underground nuclear explosion. The effects of condensation, gravity, fluid mobilities, and heat transfer are considered. Marginal stability conditions and an expression for the decay rate of instabilities are obtained.
