| description abstract | An analysis for machine loading was performed to optimally select parts to be manufactured in a limited amount of time available by a given production facility by applying the Group Technology concept. In addition, optimal machining speeds were determined for all products selected, so as to maximize the production rate. A computational algorithm was developed for this optimal machine loading and product-mix decision, and a sample example was demonstrated. | |
