description abstractThe momentum and energy integral methods are used to obtain expressions for the pressure gradient in unsteady flow of an inelastic power-law fluid. For the special case of a sinusoidally oscillating Newtonian fluid, the energy integral method yields results which are in excellent agreement with the exact solution at low frequencies.
