| description abstract | A quasi two-dimensional method of singularities is developed for the analysis of flow through a centrifugal pump impeller of varying width. The theory is applied to a double suction centrifugal pump impeller and the results are compared with those obtained by existing two-dimensional and empirical methods. The suggested analysis gives satisfactory results at regimes close to the best efficiency point. | |
