| description abstract | Solutions of the differential equations of the axisymmetric model and circumferentially averaged solutions of the differential equations of the three-dimensional model are compared quantitatively for steady supersonic flows through rotating annular cascades. Thereby three-dimensional corrections for flow quantities, which determine the applicability of the axisymmetric analysis, are investigated as a function of geometrical and gas dynamical parameters. Finally, these three-dimensional corrections are compared to three-dimensional corrections for the solutions of the usual blade-to-blade model on cylindrical surfaces of revolution for identical annular cascades. | |
