| description abstract | Vibration of vertical pumps occurs often, in spite of the fact that calculations of critical frequencies have been made for design purposes. It is shown in this paper that the use of only basic formulas of mechanics is an oversimplification of the problem and that only by taking into account all of the special modifying factors of the pump-driver system can sufficient accuracy be expected. | |
