| description abstract | In the production of a component by numerical control various stages require relatively different volumes of data, as is indicated in the paper. Three different types of interpolation are indicated and corresponding program sizes obtained. Finally the “way ahead” regarding interpolation is given and mention made of the other two vital functions, namely, the control of acceleration/deceleration and the closing of the position loop. | |
