description abstractThe paper presents the derivation of the equations of motion of a fully elastic four-bar linkage using the assumed mode analysis approach. The form of the solution for the member deflections is discussed and the governing nondimensional parameters are identified. Numerical results are then obtained in a nondimensional form in order to provide a broad interpretation and use of the results. The validity of the mathematical model is then confirmed by the results of physical experimentation.
