description abstractThe pressure loss coefficient of an impingement cooled system similar to that often used to cool the leading edge of a turbine blade has been determined from model test. The influence of Reynolds number in the range tested is negligible. However, the influence of relative distance of the jet holes from the surface to be cooled is very significant.
