description abstractThis paper describes the formulation of and solution to the problem of elastic-plastic-creep analysis of a thin circular cylinder subjected to combined bending, pressure and thermal loads. These loads may vary with time in any arbitrary manner. Solution procedures based on direct integration and successive approximation are described, and numerical examples are presented to illustrate the interaction of load parameters. The application of the present model to design problems is also given and compared with a finite element solution.
