| description abstract | Material handling using bristly tracks is investigated. The dynamic equations of the transported mass are developed and digitally simulated. The investigation shows that appreciable gains can be achieved by using one sinusoidal cycle which is imparted normal to the trough. Parametric studies and design recommendations are included. | |
