| description abstract | Design of casing strings for directionally drilled wells requires that consideration for bending load be included with calculations concerning tension, collapse, and burst. The nature of the bending load calculation is such that it cannot be incorporated into a nomograph but, instead, must be calculated by trial and error. THUMS Beach Company uses a combination of graphs and calculating procedures to facilitate designing casing in highly deviated holes. | |
