description abstractOne problem that can occur in project-based organizations is that top-level managers develop strategies, but they don’t have a good effect on the operational level of the organization, which copes with challenges in conducting projects. It seems that the required alignment between business strategies and the selection and conduction of projects is missing. This problem worsens when top-level managers cannot determine whether certain projects are in line with strategies. The aim of this study is to provide an applicable framework to align project management with organizational strategies. This framework helps managers properly implement organizational strategies in their projects. This paper develops a proposed framework based on an extensive library research and field study, and then applies that framework to a pilot project as a case study to examine its applicability. The results show that this framework is properly applicable in real cases.
