description abstractTo quantitatively evaluate the reasonability of cement slurry consistency for cement treated crushed stone permeable base, a drainage experiment for cement treated crushed stone permeable base materials was developed. Drainage weight was taken as the evaluation index, and the standard drainage time was determined as 60 s by testing the abovementioned materials with different cement slurry consistencies. The evaluation criteria of mechanical strength and void equality were taken as 7 d unconfined compressive strength larger than 5 MPa and voids difference smaller than 5%. According to relation of drainage weight with 7 d unconfined compressive strength and voids difference, it is determined that the drainage weight should be smaller than 150 g to meet the requirement of mechanical strength and voids equality. The parameters such as voids, compressive strength, cleavage strength and resilient modulus at different ages of the mixtures designed by the method were tested. The results show that the materials designed by the method have large and equal voids. The compressive strength, cleavage strength and resilient modulus at different ages are high enough to meet the requirement of mechanical property.
