description abstractThe problem of emergency evacuation routes of urban traffic in the time-dependent network was studied. The time variant characteristics of urban traffic network, including intersection delay, traffic capacity, and improvements to prevent blockage, were discussed based on studies of emergency evacuation. The concept of designing evacuation routes in urban traffic in a dynamic road impedance network was proposed. Based on the non-first-in-first-out (non-FIFO) characteristic analysis of vehicles during emergency evacuation, the research object was transformed to determine emergency evacuation routes in the time-dependent non-FIFO network. The model of emergency evacuation routes in urban traffic network was established to minimize generalized expense flow, which includes variable travel time, intersection delay, and waiting time. The synthetic algorithm in the concrete optimization course was adopted as the solution using successive shortest expense flow and the shortest path in the time-dependent non-FIFO network. The simulation results show that the method’s principle and method are correct and feasible.
