| description abstract | The author, the Chief City Engineer, noticed that the city's business environment tended to encourage behaviors that were frustrating to staff and, therefore, staff actions could reflect poorly on the city's reputation. He asked the staff to suggest ways to enhance the city's reputation as a successful organization, as well as how commitment could be encouraged. This paper is an attempt to discuss commitment and its benefits and consequences. | |
