| description abstract | In this interview with an engineer who has chosen a career with a firm of moderate size, in this case a consulting firm, attention is given to the opportunities for growth and, eventually, ownership. The broad range of projects open to an engineer at a consulting firm is described, and ways of achieving a proper balance between work and family are explored. Recommendations for recruiting and retaining highly motivated engineers are offered. | |
