description abstractAchieving a diverse workforce, the author states, entails the integration and utilization of people in a way that benefits the organization and the employees at the same time. An essential element to developing a healthy, diverse workforce is creating an environment conducive to change. Ten steps for creating such an environment are outlined. The steps are general, and the author emphasizes that each organization must evaluate its progress in effecting change and must understand its own culture before designing an exact approach.
