description abstractFabric reinforced cement based composites are a new class of composites with superior tensile strength and ductility which have the potential for becoming load bearing structural members. This enhanced behavior is primarily governed by interfacial bond characteristics between fabrics and matrix. Pullout tests were conducted using several different matrices and fabric types: two different mix designs (control and with fly ash); and four fabric types: alkali-resistant glass, polypropylene, polyethylene, and polyvinyl alcohol.
