description abstractAbstract. This study presents a techno-economic feasibility analysis for the development of a subsea production system, aiming to support decision-making during the conceptual design phase. The methodology applied follows systems engineering principles, breaking down the problem into smaller, manageable parts to ensure a structured approach to complex decisions. The focus is on three design configurations for a hypothetical field, considering different subsea equipment and facilities. The technical analysis includes the evaluation of the oilfield concept, as well as the subsea layout design, facilities, equipment, and components required for each alternative, providing a detailed view of system functionality. From an economic perspective, feasibility is assessed based on the costs associated with each configuration, including equipment, drilling, installation, and platform. Comparing these scenarios allows the identification of financial implications for each design, highlighting the trade-offs between technical performance and cost efficiency. The results show that the choice of the ideal configuration strongly depends on the specific characteristics of the field and the costs related to each system component. The integrated analysis proposed in this study contributes to a more efficient and informed decision-making process, offering valuable insights for the development of subsea production systems.
