description abstractAbstract. Polyamide 66 (PA66) is extensively employed in gear production due to its outstanding mechanical performance. By introducing glass fibers into PA66, its thermal conductivity is further enhanced, which in turn expands the application range of PA66. The tribological behavior of glass fiber-reinforced PA66 under the condition of self-mated contact at different ambient temperatures was investigated, utilizing a pin-on-disc tribometer. Pure PA66 is included as a control group to explore how load, rotational speed, and lubrication conditions influence the tribological properties of glass fiber-reinforced PA66. The results show that glass fiber enhances the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of PA66 and reduces its sensitivity to temperature changes. Moreover, since both load and speed affect the contact temperature at the sliding interface, there is a critical temperature point. Beyond this point, the tribological properties of PA66 composites exhibit distinct variation regularities. Additionally, the application of grease improves the tribological performance of the test samples, reduces friction and wear, and weakens their dependence on temperature.
