| description abstract | This study deals with the recovery of deinking sludge (DS) generated during waste paper recycling. The aim is to integrate this sludge in the fired-bricks formulation with different percentages. These mixtures are fired, and the study of the general aspect, loss on fire, and water absorption enables characterization of this material. Different compression tests are carried out on studied samples to characterize the strength and compare its performance to the standard. The mixtures’ optimization and the elaboration conditions are the main objectives to obtain a new construction material with competitive performances conforming to the standards. | |
