On Piping Vibration Screening Criteria

Abstract

Vibration-related issues are common in the engineering practice. Piping vibrations can range from those barely noticeable to the ones which result in total system failure in a very short time . This paper presents a synthesis of the criteria which should be used to estimate the severity of vibrations based on both exhaustive literature research and the authors' experience accumulated over the years of engineering practice.
