description abstractThis note presents field data that demonstrate the application of a logarithmic wind speed profile over complex terrain. For neutral, high wind speed conditions a logarithmic profile with a large z0, on the order of 35 m, was found to fit field data to a height of 700 m or four times the nearby mountain heights.
